Franklin Veterinary Clinic Veterinarians

Veterinarian practice owner and operator. Dr. Franklin, DVM

Warren Franklin, DVM

Dr. Warren Franklin was raised in rural eastern New Mexico in the small village of House.  It was on his family’s home ranch that he developed a love and respect for all animals. After graduation from House High School, Dr. Franklin went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from New Mexico State University which he recalls, served as his ‘ticket to get into vet school at Colorado State University’ where he attained his Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine Degree in 1987.  In addition to operating his own small & large animal practice, Franklin serves as the attending veterinarian for Sierra Blanca Equine in Ruidoso Downs, as well as several farms and ranches throughout Lincoln County, NM and beyond.  His interest in veterinary medicine has also led to the business of breeding & racing his own horses.

In his (limited) free time, Dr. Franklin enjoys sports including calf roping, basketball & snowboarding in addition to spending time with his own horses.  As a family man, Franklin can also be found with his children, Dusti, Brand, Sky, Jab, Lat and his six grandchildren.  Dr. Franklin’s eldest son, Court, was an engineering student at Baylor University when he was tragically killed in an accident in Waco, Texas in 2007.  Court Franklin is missed and will be remembered; always.

Associate veterinarian Dr. Connie Brunson, DVM

Connie Brunson, DVM

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. Brunson has been resolving small animal medical and surgical care for the past 35 years. She moved to Ruidoso to be closer to her family and worked across the state of Texas prior to that.

As an Associate Veterinarian at Franklin Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Brunson is grateful for the opportunity to help keep both our canine and feline friends healthy as well as their pet parents happy!

In her free time, Dr. Brunson enjoys traveling, gardening, sewing and curling up on the couch with a good book!

New veterinarian Jordan Woodbury, dvm

Jordan Woodbury, DVM

Dr. Jordan Woodbury grew up in a rural town in Arizona where her family worked on a cow calf operation. This is where her love and admiration for animals and agriculture was acquired. She later obtained her bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University where she studied animal science. Jordan spent time in New Zealand and Australia, expanding her agricultural knowledge while working at a dairy and cattle station.

She attended veterinary school at Washington State University and had the opportunity to spend time at Franklin Veterinary Clinic during her vet school endeavors. She was drawn to the wonderful staff, friendly clients, and excellent medicine practiced at Franklin Veterinary Clinic. She could not be more excited to serve the clients in the area and help ensure healthy and happy pets and livestock. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Woodbury enjoys spending time playing sports, rodeoing, skiing, hiking, and spending time with family.

new veterinarian, Travis Lenssen, DVM

Travis Lenssen, DVM

Dr. Travis Lenssen grew up in a small agricultural town in Northwest Washington where he spent his time on family dairies and local raspberry farms. He attended Washington State University for both his bachelor's degree and veterinary school. He found Franklin Veterinary Clinic during his clinical year of veterinary school and quickly fell for the landscape, community, and people of Ruidoso and Franklin Veterinary Clinic.

As a part of Franklin Veterinary Clinic, he wakes up each day excited to ensure your critters are in the best care and at the top of their game, while working alongside some of the best in the industry.

His interests outside of veterinary medicine include woodworking, hunting big game, camping and any sporting event.
